
Dr Sasya Ravuri completed her medical and general ophthalmology training in India before undertaking a two-year cornea and anterior segment fellowship at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. During this time, she gained extensive experience in complex cataract, corneal and ocular surface conditions, as well as refractive procedures.
After moving to Australia, Dr Ravuri worked as a Senior Registrar, Cataract and Medical Retina Fellow at Monash Health, and as a Medical Officer at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. These roles deepened her medical retina experience, managing diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and vein occlusions.
A prolific cataract surgeon, Dr Ravuri holds public appointments at Monash Health and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and enjoys teaching cataract surgery and laser procedures to young surgeons. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and takes the time to ensure her patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment.
